Welcome, my name is Viggo. My job is to help you enjoy the Math concepts you are learning and understand them at a more fundamental level. Teachers can sometimes expect you to understand foundational topics in Math that allow you to comprehend what they are teaching far easier. I believe that anyone can be good at Math with a bit of effort and a passion to learn. I myself did not enjoy math until I was in grade eleven and had a teacher personally teach me concepts in which I wasn't properly taught in earlier years. Since then, my love of Math has exploded and I've decided to become a Math major at the University of Ottawa. If I had that opportunity why shouldn't you?
I've graduated high school with an 87% average and have been exposed to a variety of fields in Mathematics. I've passed with great marks in Calculus one, two, and three. I've also done the same in two Linear Algebra classes and in Discrete Math. I have a very deep understanding of these topics which I think can help you or your child. With this, I am also genuinely interested in Math. I'm confident that after a couple sessions with me, you're child will walk away with a much higher understanding of material, notes, and lectures, as well as maybe an appreciation for Mathematics. I will provide you with regular updates on your child's progress.
I understand that my teaching style may not be suitable for every student, which is why I offer a free session for everyone who'd like to try. I specialize in high school students studying functions and calculus or any other math course. I am also able to tutor for middle school or elementary school if needed. I am bilingual in English and French and can accommodate your child's language needs. I am available weekdays and weekends and will work around your child's schedule.
For all online sessions I use drawing software to properly demonstrate concepts and ideas. As for any session, I can go over homework, notes, assignments, practice tests, and anything which you may find helpful for your studies! I am available 7 days a week.
All Options are priced per hour. Gas and prep-time is included in price. No extra fees.
